Who was Frederick Douglass?Frederick Douglass was known to be as an American speaker, essayist, and legislator. Subsequent to getting away from subjugation in Maryland, he turned into a public head of the abolitionist development in Massachusetts and New York, becoming renowned for his rhetoric and sharp abolitionist works.
Douglass was of blended race, which probably remembered Native American and African for his mom's side, as well as European. Conversely, his dad was "in all likelihood white", as per antiquarian David W. Scourge in his 2018 life story of Douglass said his mom Harriet Bailey gave him his name Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey and, after he ran away toward the North in September 1838, he took the last name Douglass, having previously dropped his two center names.
Therefore Option(d) is correct.

Read this excerpt from Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll.
She was rambling on in this way when she reached the wood: it looked very cool and shady. “Well, at any rate it's a great comfort,” she said as she stepped under the trees, “after being so hot, to get into the—into WHAT?” she went on, rather surprised at not being able to think of the word. “I mean to get under the—under the—under THIS, you know!” putting her hand on the trunk of the tree. “What DOES it call itself, I wonder? I do believe it's got no name—why, to be sure it hasn't!”
She stood silent for a minute, thinking: then she suddenly began again. “Then it really HAS happened, after all! And now, who am I? I WILL remember, if I can! I'm determined to do it!” But being determined didn't help much, and all she could say, after a great deal of puzzling, was, “L, I KNOW it begins with L!”
Which question might a reader ask to gain a better understanding of this excerpt?
Why does Alice choose to step through the looking glass?
Why does Alice forget the name of the woods and her own name?
Why does Alice want to play chess with all the others in the garden?
Why does Alice talk to the gnat about the looking-glass insects?

write an introduction, presentation, and conclusion about animals
Answer:
Paragraph in pets!
Explanation:
A pet, or companion animal, is an animal kept primarily as a working animal, livestock or a laboratory animal for the business or enjoyment of an individual. ... Two of the most common animals are dogs and cats; an ailurophile is the technical term for a cat lover and a cynophile is a dog lover.
Animal people are those who respect the value and spirit inherent in non-human beings. ... Bekoff describes it as the ability to feel, feel and relate not only to other beings, but to be related to our surroundings. “And there is another charm about him, namely, that he puts animals in a pleasing light and makes them interesting to mankind.” This is a passage from an author that lost his best friend. This shows how much an animal can mean to a person.
Animals are multicellular eukaryotic species that make up the biological kingdom of Animalia. With few exceptions, animals consume organic material, breathe oxygen, can travel, reproduce sexually, and grow from a hollow cell sphere, the blastula, during embryonic development. About 1.5 million living animal species have been described — about 1 million of which are insects — but it has been estimated that there are about 7 million animal species in total. Animals are 8.5 micron in weight.
The conclusion that I have to make this project is really fascinating and satisfying. I know now that animals have intelligence, and I have learned that they are a lot more intelligent than we think they are. It's just that each species has good parts and bad parts, and they display it in different ways that we don't notice it.
Yet they do have the fundamentals of intelligence: contact. Each animal interacts with each other, and I think they're also trying to connect with us. For example, dolphins communicate by making sounds, dogs, barking, chimpanzees, signs, etc.
In my view, we should start taking care of the animals and try to train their brains because it's like humans that you have to train your brain to keep it going because if we don't start losing capacity. We're not allowed to treat animals like objects.
Also, looking at how they're supporting us, I found they're really making an impact in society. They support us in many ways, be they physical , social or physiological. They're really important to us, and they've opened my eyes to investigate. We couldn't deal with them, they're part of our culture. Think about this, if they weren't relevant, why do we continue to embrace them and make them part of our lives? They are a big part on transmitting sadness into happiness and joy fullness.
I hope this helped. I did get most information from different websites, but they are all put in my own words, so don’t worry about copy and paste. I suggest you read it and change anything you need. I don’t know if you can contact me on this app but if you can please do if you have any questions. Good luck!

These are the articles:
It's Saturday night. You've just fallen asleep after spending the day hanging out with friends, watching movies, and enjoying being a typical teenager on the weekend. Suddenly, the beeper on your nightstand goes off. You jump up and get ready because someone needs your help. For a group of teenagers in Alaska, known as the Dragon Slayers, this is nothing unusual. They are from the town of Aniak, located about three hundred fifty miles west of Anchorage. Forget driving there, you can only reach the town by plane! There are around six hundred residents and one medical clinic, but the doctor only visits once a month. This means that if you are visited by a medical or fire "dragon," getting treatment or being rescued might be difficult. In fact, until the Slayers were formed, there was no emergency service in the town after 4 p.m. To address the problem, the fire chief decided to train qualified teenagers as first responders. He believed that because most of them did not have jobs, they had the time required to take on the responsibility.
Today, the Dragon Slayers respond to about 450 calls per year. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The team is made up of 14- to 18-year-old girls and boys. No matter what the emergency, it is important that Dragon Slayers remain calm and have the medical skills to help those who need them. They have over two hundred hours of medical and fire-safety training. All are certified emergency trauma technicians. They must also get passing grades in school and be drug and alcohol free. They are expected to treat everything from minor injuries requiring only first aid, to more serious issues such as heart attacks. They may be called to scenes ranging from small plane crashes to automobile accidents.
Their efforts have saved both lives and property. Just ask a former principal at their high school. At first, he didn't like the idea of Slayers being called out of class to respond to emergencies. However, he changed his mind after suffering a diabetic emergency at school and being cared for by the quick-thinking Slayers. Additionally, if it weren't for the actions of Amanda Hoeldt and several of her Dragon Slayer friends, the community hall might have burned to the ground when it caught fire in 2009. Although not allowed to enter the building, she and the other Slayers set up hoses that eventually put out the blaze, saving the structure. After observing the girls respond to an emergency call, state trooper Sgt. Mike Duxbury commented, "They helped each other out. Gave each other encouragement. They worked as a team."
Amanda says that the Dragon Slayers also benefit from their participation in the program. She feels that she is prepared to handle nearly any situation that comes her way. Through teaching others in her community life-saving skills, she has become more confident in her leadership abilities. Agnes Nicoli, another Slayer, says of her participation in the program, "Being able to save lives and save property is a wonderful feeling." Most Slayers go to college, and many of them choose careers in the medical field. And, just in case you're wondering what happens when a Slayer graduates, he or she is replaced by a "Lizard Killer." A Lizard Killer is a younger member of the program who is still in training. Upon completion of that training, he or she earns the right to be promoted to Dragon Slayer.

Me and Mr.jacks have just arrived in this huge town. It was busy and a lot of buildings and people. We were tired and wanted to find somewhere to rest.Escaping the force field and getting to this city was tiring. We were hungry but we didn't have anything to eat.We sat down on a bench to rest a little.
Mr.jacks said in a really tired voice, “We need food to keep going”
I said “i know but we don't have money and we didn't bring food”
They got up and walked around to find shelter but didn't find anything and it was turning dark fast.
They haven slept in days and they were losing hope everyday.
“Hey look is that an abandoned building over there?” I said with excitement in my voice.
“Ya it is Kate thank you so much” Mr.Jacks said with tiredness and a little happiness in his voice.”
They walked faster towards the building. Me and Mr.Jacks arrived and the door was stuck and Mr.Jacks and Kate got it open and then went inside and sat down on the floor. Then I saw in the corner of the room had food.
“Mr.Jacks! There is food in the corner” I said excited.
I heard something like humans walking towards them. All of a sudden 3 people walk in and they see Mr.Jack and me.
The man said in a deep raspy voice “wh0 are you and why are you in my home eating our food!”
“We are sorry we didn't kn0w it's yours we thought it was abandoned and we could stay” Mr.Jacks said saying scaredly
They surrounded the two madly. I was shaking scared when a huge male about 6’5 feet tall and scary grabbed me and took me into a different room and beat me, making me bleed alot and I was unconscious and laying on the floor. Mr.Jacks was beat to and the people picked both of them up and took them far away and dropped them off.

Colony Collapse Disorder
In 2006, beekeepers throughout the United States began to notice something new—and troubling. Adult honeybees, known as worker bees, were disappearing from their hives, seemingly abandoning them. Few or no dead bees were found in the hives, while the queen and larvae were alive and well but without the swarm of worker bees that typically attended them to keep them alive. What had happened?
The phenomenon became so widespread that it soon received a name, Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) . There was no denying that CCD was a problem; after all, American agriculture depends on the work of honeybees and other pollinators. At least three-quarters of the crops grown in the United States depend on honeybee pollination for their survival. These include such staples as strawberries, blueberries, apples, broccoli, asparagus, and almonds. Without them, both farmers and anyone who enjoys fresh fruits and vegetables will suffer.
But what is causing this problem? Scientists have rigorously studied a variety of possible causes, ranging from genetically modified crops to climate change to cell phone towers. Sadly, nothing has shown to be the cause of the problem. The most likely culprits are pathogens, or disease-causing organisms. These have been found in larger numbers in colonies affected by CCD than in those unaffected. But these pathogens have included various viruses and bacteria, some found in greater concentrations in different parts of the country. If CCD is caused by a single disease, identifying that disease will be difficult.
The CCD epidemic is most likely the result of multiple causes—pathogens, poor nutrition, pesticides, lack of genetic diversity, and habitat loss. Efforts to prevent colony loss have been mildly successful. The number lost has declined each year since 2008. But until a solution to this problem is found, CCD will remain a concern that will threaten not only the future of bees, but also of the people who rely on the food that they help produce.
Question 1
Part A
Which inference can be made about the cause of CCD in “Colony Collapse Disorder”?
It is a threat that needs to be identified as soon as possible.
It is very complex and will be challenging to overcome.
It affects bees most seriously but threatens other pollinators also.
It will impact humans and affect their health in the future.
Question 2
Part B
Which statement from "Colony Collapse Disorder" best supports the answer in Part A?
“The CCD epidemic is most likely the result of multiple causes—pathogens, poor nutrition, pesticides, lack of genetic diversity, and habitat loss.”
“The most likely culprits are pathogens, or disease-causing organisms.”
“Without [honeybees], both farmers and anyone who enjoys fresh fruits and vegetables will suffer.”
