2.)Describe how the Aztecs were a horrible culture.
3.) In what ways was the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl involved in the story of the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs?

Answers

Answer:

Many of the 16th century sources that describe ancient Aztec customs do not come from impartial observers. Their authors, in fact, were especially interested in Aztec culture from a religious perspective, namely because they were Catholic evangelisers. Authors such as friars Sahagún (who is claimed to have been Mexico’s first anthropologist), Torquemada, and Motolinía, amongst many others, dedicated themselves to writing gargantuan works on everything from Aztec religious rituals to their astronomy and fine arts.

Question 9: List and briefly describe the different stops Magellan makes on his historic voyage. Include ships lost and Magellan's death.

Question 10: Explain the importance of at least one other person who traveled with Magellan.

Answers

I’m not positive about the first one but I believe he noticed their culture and lack of weaponry. He also noticed that they were friendly and generous. I’m assuming this is important because it meant he could kidnap them. Columbus had the goal of conquering the tribe during his second voyage. The second voyage brought European livestock and settlers to America. During his final voyage, he governed the island of Hispaniola. Columbus had thousands of Arawaks (the people of the tribe that lived there) kidnapped and being forced to find gold. Columbus was a successful explorer because as a result of his voyages, there was a massive exchange of cultures, ideas, animals and diseases. I’m not sure about number four. Columbus was brutal and oppressive towards the native people. He kidnapped many of them and killed them for standing up to the Spanish or not finding enough gold. Columbus was arrested due to treating the natives harshly and along with being arrested he lost his title as governor. Magellan possibly made it as far as Moluccas. Five ships and 270 men sailed to West Africa, then Brazil. They then searched the South American coast and went towards the Pacific. Only three ships made it, one was wrecked and one was deserted. On April 27, 1521 Magellan was killed by a poison arrow on the island of Mactan. I am also unsure of number ten. I really hope this helped, sorry I didn’t know all of it.

How do these powers (initiative, referendum, recall) encourage greater citizen participation in states where they exist?

Answers

Answer:

In 1911, California voters approved the constitutional processes of initiative, referendum, and recall. Through these processes, voters can adopt a change in law (an initiative), disapprove a law passed by the Legislature (a referendum), or remove an elected official from office (a recall).

Explanation:

Answer: The Powers like Initiative, referrals, and referendum encourages greater citizen participation in states as Citizen participation builds a stronger democracy.

Initiative: It enables citizens to bypass their state legislature by placing proposed statutes and, in some states, constitutional amendments on the ballot.

There are two types of initiatives: direct and indirect. In the direct process, proposals that qualify go directly on the ballot. In the indirect process, the proposal is submitted to the legislature.

Referendum: The popular referendum allows voters to approve or repeal an act of the Legislature. If the Legislature passes a law that voters do not approve of, they may gather signatures to demand a popular vote on the law.

Referral: Legislatures are often required to refer certain measures to the ballot for voter approval. For instance, changes to the state constitution must be approved by voters before they can take effect.

Answers

Answer:

i think its b Biddle tried to renew the national bank’s charter four years early.

Explanation:

sorry if im wrong

"Biddle tried to renew the national bank’s charter four years early" action by Nicholas Biddle made Andrew Jackson angry. Thus, option 'B' is the correct option.

What did Biddle have against Jackson?

Bank Jackson's denial of the bank charter and the relocation of the federal deposits to the State Banks contributed to the Panic of 1837. President Nicholas Biddle's loan limitations constricted the money supply. Biddle used the bank's resources against Jackson since there was no opportunity for Congress to override the president's veto. He called in loans, making it more challenging for banks and companies to obtain financing.

In Philadelphia, Biddle replied to Jackson's decision by declaring that the Bank would (or could not) raise additional capital or seek out new private deposits to make up for the loss of government deposits. The Bank would instead restrict credit and call in loans. Jackson argued against the bank's exceptional political and economic influence as well as the dearth of congressional oversight over its business dealings.
