Answers

Answer 1

The American Revolution was motivated by many different reasons. The citizens living in the American colonies at the time were driven by many factors that lead them to declare independence from Great Britain. Some of these factors include social, cultural, economic, and political issues, among others. However, the main cause for the American Revolution that is taught over and over in history classes in the modern day is that the colonies did not accept Great Britain’s tyrannical rule and wanted independence from the British empire in order to govern themselves. While this is true, a mix of other internal and external problems influenced the war and the outcome of it. Two historians that have studied the American Revolution extensively are Bernard Bailyn and Ben Baack, and they have studied the war from an economic and political standpoint. There are many viewpoints of how and why the American Revolution was caused, but the economic and political perspectives of this particular war are not commonly studied, although they were two of the most important factors. These two opposing viewpoints have similarities in addition to their differences, but overall the most important factor concerning the American Revolutionary War was the economic restrictions Great Britain placed on the American colonies.

What was different about the KKK in the 1920s as compared to the KKK right after the
Civil War?

Answers

Answer: The Ku Klux Klan, founded in the late 1860’s, experiences three major surges in popularity promoting ideals such as white supremacy, white nationalism, Nativism, anti-immigration, and anti-communism.

Explanation: The first era of Ku Klux Klan experienced a rise in popularity in the late 1800’s with the intent of overthrowing Republican state governments in the South and ensuring that newly-freed southern African Americans did not vote. In 1871 their membership was oppressed by federal law enforcement (1871 Ku Klux Klan Act signed by President Grant to combat the KKK and other white supremacy groups).

The second Ku Klux Klan group flourished nationwide in the 1920’s on the platform of pro-prohibition and anti-Catholicism and anti-Jewish feelings. They experience a diminished population in the late 1920’s (around the time of the Great Depression; a time of mass American economic hardship).

The modern-day third wave of the Ku Klux Klan came about in the late 1950’s opposing the civil rights movement. Current membership, as of 2016, amounts to an estimated 3,000-6,000 active members.

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

What Benjamin Ferencz meant when he says the Nuremberg Trials established the principle of "the rule of law rather than rule of force, " was that during the Nuremberg Trials against the German military officials, there was no rule of force or vengeance against them just for many atrocities they committed during World War II. Instead, a full and proper trial was established to judge them under the law.

During the Nuremberg Trials, Benjamin Ferencz was a prosecutor that supported the application of strict laws to judge the Germans. He also supported the International Criminal Court.

Ferencz was the main United States prosecutor in the case "Einsatzgruppen."

The Pieta by Michelangelo is a model illustration of Renaissance art, exhibiting the utilization of viewpoint and regular looking subtleties to evoke strong religious feelings.

The choice (C) is right.

The figure portrays the Virgi*n Mary supporting the group of Jesus Christ after his execution. Michelangelo's wonderful method brings a feeling of authenticity and profound profundity to the figures, catching the melancholy and commitment of the Virgi*n Mary.

The figure's arrangement, utilization of physical exactness, and tender loving care mirror the Renaissance center around humanism and the restoration of a traditional feel. During the 1800s, the growth of the
system allowed Atlanta to become a major center of trade in Georgia.

Answers

Answer:

The history of Atlanta dates back to 1836, when Georgia decided to build a railroad to the U.S. Midwest and a location was chosen to be the line's terminus. The stake marking the founding of "Terminus" was driven into the ground in 1837 (called the Zero Mile Post). In 1839, homes and a store were built there and the settlement grew. Between 1845 and 1854, rail lines arrived from four different directions, and the rapidly growing town quickly became the rail hub for the entire Southern United States. During the American Civil War, Atlanta, as a distribution hub, became the target of a major Union campaign, and in 1864, Union William Sherman's troops set on fire and destroyed the city's assets and buildings, save churches and hospitals. After the war, the population grew rapidly, as did manufacturing, while the city retained its role as a rail hub. Coca-Cola was launched here in 1886 and grew into an Atlanta-based world empire. Electric streetcars arrived in 1889, and the city added new "streetcar suburbs".

What is the Indian Trade and intercourse act?

The Indian intercourse act is the collective name given to six statutes passed by the Congress in 1790, 1793, 1796, 1799, 1802, and 1834 to set Amerindian boundaries of reservations. The various Acts were also intended to regulate commerce between settlers and the natives.

The most notable provisions of the Act regulate the inalienability of aboriginal title in the United States, a continuing source of litigation for almost 200 years. The prohibition on purchases of Indian lands without the approval of the federal government has its origins in the Royal Proclamation of 1763 and the Confederation Congress Proclamation of 1783. In addition to regulating relations between Indians living on Indian land and non-Indians, the 1834 Act identified an area known as "Indian country".

This land was described as being "all that part of the United States west of the Mississippi and not within the states of Missouri and Louisiana, or the territory of Arkansas."
