Get on the road, top down, hands out
Put on my favorite song and nod to the rhythm
The planet's being destroyed by your carbon emissions
But I- I-, I'll head to class
Try my best on every test 'til I pass
And my grades are screaming in my face, hey
98 percent of what you learn is a waste
I get to hang out with all my friends (Yeah)

The shrinking middle class
I've at least got a nice stable job
Until it's outsourced to China or replaced by a robot
OH GOD! Well, then I could relax a bit
You'll be empty with nothing to distract from it
But man, I'm a passionate graduate
I can be different, and I have a career paths to pick from
I could be a rapper or an animator if I'm lucky
Neither of those will make you happy, trust me

what does a analysis paragraph have to have?
Answer:
Talk about specific words, phrases, or ideas found in your evidence
Explanation:
Write your body paragraphs. Each body paragraph should have 1) a topic sentence, 2) an analysis of some part of the text and 3) evidence from the text that supports your analysis and your thesis statement. A topic sentence tells the reader what the body paragraph will be about. The analysis of the text is where you make your argument. The evidence you provide supports your argument. Remember that each claim you make should support your thesis.
The formula "CEE" may help you remember: Claim-Evidence-Explanation. Whenever you present a claim, make sure you present evidence to support that claim and explain how the evidence relates to your claim.
Know when to quote or paraphrase. Quoting means that you take the exact text and, placing it in quotation marks, insert it into your essay. Quoting is good when you use the precise wording of something to support your claim. Make sure that you use the correct form of quotation, depending on if you are using MLA, APA or Chicago style. Paraphrasing, on the other hand, is when you summarize the text. Paraphrasing can be used to give background or compress a lot of details into a short space. It can be good if you have a lot of information or would need to quote a huge portion of text to convey something.Don't: quote from more than two passages per paragraph, as a rule of thumb.
Write your conclusion. Your conclusion is where you remind your reader of how you supported your argument. Some teachers also want you to make a broader connection in your conclusion. This means that they want you to make a ‘bigger world connection’. This could mean stating how your argument affects other claims about the text, or how your claim could change the view of someone reading the text you analyzed.Don't: introduce a completely new argument in your conclusion.
Do: expand beyond your thesis statement by discussing its implications or wider context.
Example conclusion: The concept of an ‘eye for an eye’ was very present in the early Medieval world. However, by comparing the attacks of both Grendel's mother and the dragon, the medieval world’s perception of righteous vengeance versus unjust revenge is made clear. While the dragon acts out in the only way he knows how, Grendel's mother attacks with evil intent.
Example conclusion with a ‘bigger world connection’: The concept of an ‘eye for an eye’ was very present in the early Medieval world. However, by comparing the attacks of both Grendel's mother and the dragon, the medieval world’s perception of righteous vengeance versus unjust revenge is made clear. While the dragon acts out in the only way he knows how, Grendel's mother attacks with evil intent. As we saw from the study of other characters, these portrayals may tie into an early Medieval perception that women had greater potential for evil.
Finalizing Your Essay
Proofread your essay for spelling or grammar mistakes. A paper that contains many mistakes generally gets a lower grade than one that has been proofread and polished. Run a spell check, look for run-on sentences, and check for punctuation errors.
Make sure to also format your essay correctly. For example, using a 12-pt standard font (like Arial or Times New Roman) and 1" margins is standard.
Read your paper out loud. Reading out loud helps you to find places in the essay that might sound awkward. This is also a great way to find run-on sentences that you might not have noticed before.
Make sure that all characters, titles, places, etc. are spelled correctly. Teachers will often mark you down if the name of a main character is spelled incorrectly throughout your paper.Check two or three sources to make sure that you have the correct spelling.Read your paper as if you were your teacher.

Answer: ok i will answer the new question when its uploaded :D
Explanation:
Such were the professor's words -- rather let me say such the words of fate, enounced to destroy me. As he went on, I felt as if my soul were grappling with a palpable enemy; one by one the various keys were touched which formed the mechanism of my being: chord after chord was sounded, and soon my mind was filled with one thought, one conception, one purpose. So much has been done, exclaimed the soul of Frankenstein -- more, far more, will I achieve: treading in the steps already marked, I will pioneer a new way, explore unknown powers, and unfold to the world the deepest mysteries of creation.
Answer and Explanation:
This excerpt is presented in chapter 3 of Frankenstein, where Frankenstein himself is rambling about his professor's reaction to his interest in alchemy. In this excerpt, Frankenstein shows how the teacher's words were words of destination, because what the professor said stimulated him to create the monster, through an increasingly efficient study. This passage has the ability to tell us how the terrible events that Frankenstein will face throughout the narrative are the result of the path he decided to follow and this path was very much based on the words that the teacher spoke to him.
14. Grandpa planted a backyard garden, hoping that it was helping with the high cost of
food.
a. will help
b. would help
c. helped
d. No change necessary
Answer:
B. Would help
Explanation:
In the first part of the sentence the word “planted” shows up. This gives us context clues that the sentence is written in past tense.
The second part of the sentence it has the word “hoping” as past tense verb.
This means that “‘would help’ with food” is the best option. Not only does it flow nicely but it also represents that the grandfather was thinking of the future.
“was helping”/no change necessary doesnt work because it means that the garden had already been planted and had already been helping.
“Will help” doesn’t work because the tense is not correct. This is because “will” is current when we are talking about the past.
and finally, “helped” is not correct because this would mean that the garden had already helped. This isn’t possible because it takes time for things to grow.
All of this said, we can determine that the answer is B. Would help.
Answer:
Answer : B would help ..

Answer: Our county is one of five counties in the state deciding whether or not to levy a meal tax on its citizens.
Explanation:
The first option addresses directly, the fact that there is a proposed meal tax in the county by mentioning that along with the county in question, there are other counties that are proposing the measure as well.

The first “The time when trees are blooming with flowers the time when the sun shines and birds sing sweetly” is spring. The second “the time when snow coats tree branches and the sky is gray the time when few or no leaves hang on boughs” is fall or winter.
What is Spring?Spring is the season during which the natural world revives and reinvigorates after the colder winter months. During spring, dormant plants begin to grow again, new seedlings sprout out of the ground and hibernating animals awake.
What most people call spring relies on the astronomical definition of the word. Defined by the angle of Earth's tilt toward the sun, astronomical spring relies on equinoxes and solstices to define it.
Equinoxes are days during the year when day and night are almost equal. There are two equinoxes each calendar year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The spring, or vernal, equinox occurs around March 20 in the Northern Hemisphere and around Sept. 22 in the Southern Hemisphere.
Therefore, The first “The time when trees are blooming with flowers the time when the sun shines and birds sing sweetly” is spring. The second “the time when snow coats tree branches and the sky is gray the time when few or no leaves hang on boughs” is fall or winter.

Answer:
Explanation:
I think its a metaphor
Answer:
Explanation:
Figurative language is to a writer what a paintbrush is to an artist. That is, you can use it to take something simple or flat and transform it into something multidimensional. Figurative language has the ability to be more impactful than literal writing; it can expand readers' interpretations and broaden their imaginings. Learn what figurative language is and get definitions of the different types of figurative language.Figurative language adds color, touch, and feelings to your writing. The professor praised his pupil's flowery prose.
hyperbole - When a writer exaggerates something - typically in a humorous way - it's known as hyperbole.
My eyes widened at the sight of the mile-high sundaes that were brought to our table.

The leaves danced in the wind on the cold October afternoon.

Read the following excerpt from Little Women.
"Really, girls, you are both to be blamed," said Meg, beginning to lecture in her elder-sisterly fashion. "You are old enough to leave off boyish tricks, and to behave better, Josephine. It didn't matter so much when you were a little girl, but now you are so tall, and turn up your hair, you should remember that you are a young lady."
"I'm not! And if turning up my hair makes me one, I'll wear it in two tails till I'm twenty," cried Jo, pulling off her net, and shaking down a chestnut mane. "I hate to think I've got to grow up, and be Miss March, and wear long gowns, and look as prim as a China Aster! It's bad enough to be a girl, anyway, when I like boy's games and work and manners! I can't get over my disappointment in not being a boy. And it's worse than ever now, for I'm dying to go and fight with Papa. And I can only stay home and knit, like a poky old woman!"
Tabitha is taking part in a group discussion about Little Women. In her discussion group, one participant states, “I think it must have been very difficult to be a female during this time period.”
How could Tabitha best respond to show that she is being an active listener?
“I’m sorry, I didn’t hear what you said. Could you repeat it, please?”
“I do not understand that comment at all or why it was even made.”
“I agree and think that women often had to fight to be themselves.”
“I think Jo sounds a lot like my little sister when she complains.”
Answer:
I would say that the best response for Tabitha here would be "I agree and think that women often had to fight to be themselves.".
Explanation:
This would show that she is agreeing to what her one participant stated; “I think it must have been very difficult to be a female during this time period.” The response I chose would show that Tabitha agrees, meaning she was listening, and even restates what her participant said, thus meaning she really was listening. Hope this helped.

Answer:
There was a time last school year during summer when I went to cheer camp for my school. I was forced to be the second flyer. I felt like I couldn't do it because I was scared that my group might drop my because I've gotten the goofy group. They liked to play around too much and that made me worried. On our first try with doing cradle, of course they didn't catch me but good thing they didn't throw me high enough for me to not be able to land on my feet. After a couple of tries they only caught me once and it was time for lunch break. After the lunch break was over we went back to practicing cradle again. When we were done with the first practice I felt relieved because I thought we were going to move on to practice the cheer, but all of that fear came back when it was time to do it again. On the second practice day we did it again for recap from day one and when we did it, they dropped me because they threw me forwards, but good think I caught myself so the impact wouldn't hurt as much as it should. So after they dropped me I cried because what if the same mistake will happen to me and I fracture a bone like my mom did when they didn't catch her, she fractured her knee and still till this day sometimes come out of place. I didn't want to get hurt like she did so I quit. But as I thought about it, they need me for that part of the cheer so I kept going because on the last day the parents were gonna come and watch the final result of what we have been working on for the past three days and I didn't wanna disappoint my mom so I done it with confidence and got through it with no fear.
