Which of the following examples would be a reason to institute sanctions against another country?A.

B.
Iran increase trade with Saudi Arabia.

C.
Turkey and Iraq work together to defeat ISIS.

D.
Kuwait increases its petroleum production.

Answers

Answer:

The correct answer is A. A reason to institute sanctions against another country would be Iran's attempts to develop nuclear weapons.

Explanation:

Since the formation of the UN in 1945 and, especially, since the signing of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 1968, the vast majority of the world's nations have agreed not to develop nuclear energy for military purposes (that is, not to develop bombs). nuclear weapons), using said technology solely for peaceful purposes. Thus, only the member countries of the UN Security Council (USA, China, France, Russia and Great Britain) are authorized to possess and develop this type of weaponry, which is strictly prohibited for the remaining countries, as in the case of Iran.

Therefore, if Iran tries to develop this type of nuclear weapons, it would be subject to international sanctions for violating this international treaty.

Hello!

Back in the 1800’s almost everyone would wear hats.

EX; mostly men wore top hats.

I was just curious because I know top hats are still made (and any hat in general..) so why does nobody wear them anymore?

Also, I see some people wear hats - but it’s always just a cap. (Baseball cap type). Why does nobody wear those top hats / those fancy womens short hats with the veil anymore?

I never see anyone wearing hats anymore, unless it’s a baseball cap or a cowboy hat... (you get the idea!)

Did they go out of style?

The only time I’ll see a different hat that isn’t some sort of baseball cap or cowboy hat would be in an antique store. But even then, I never see anyone wearing those hats other than the two hats I see daily

(cowboy / baseball cap).

Answers

Answer:

a sense of security and belonging

Answer:

a sense of security and belonging, it should state a means of controlling the masses and preserving the feudal system.

Explanation:

Christianity, like many organized religions, was a means of giving hope to the masses who were largely feudal peasants, or in other forms of indentured servitude.  The false promise of a better after life or heaven was a means of getting the masses to conform and observe certain societal norms to maintain order and preserve the feudal system.  It was primarily a means of social, economic, and political oppression that established a clear hierarchy in various settings by enslaving the minds of the impoverished who were almost always illterate and literally treated the word of the clergy as gospel.

One of the main roles of police during the 19th century was "strike-breaking." Why did the police engage in these actions and who benefitted from these actions?

Answers

Answer:

The police engaged in strike-breaking because in the 19th century, labor unions were starting to emerge, and they had a low reputation among the political ruling class and the economic elite. This is because labor unions represented and obstacle to their profits.

Those who benefited were mainly the economic elite who owned the enterprises. These owners did not want to meet the demands of the labor unions, like an 8 hour work-day, simply because these demands represented a reduction in profits.

using slaves in Europe to manufacture good to sell to colonists.

banning colonists from fishing or trading in animal furs.

having to pay high duties on foreign sugar and molasses.

Answers

Answer:

Having to pay high duties on foreign sugar and molasses.

Explanation:

During the colonial era, especially from the mid-1700s, Britain began to carry out increasingly protectionist policies regarding its production, framed in the mercantilist concept of economic production. Mercantilism, in short, established that the wealth of a country is mediated in terms of its production of resources and its territorial extension, which allowed nations to accumulate wealth.

In this context, the British government began to prohibit its colonies from trading with other European nations (as this would benefit their economies), establishing commercial monopolies in the colonies, which implied a huge loss of rights on the part of the colonists, harming their economic and political freedoms.

And while plenty of stores offer “Columbus Day Savings,” the specials they’re promoting tend to indicate the explorer wasn’t the keenest shopper on the planet.

While he’s credited for leading the charge of European immigration to North America, history has shown that Christopher Columbus was less a heroic historical figure and more of an arch-villain, bringing disease, wars and more to what would eventually become the U.S. and brutalizing Native Americans in the process.
